Michael F. Graham, M.D.
Michael F. Graham, M.D. is a native of Miami. He graduated from Coral Gables Senior High School, attended Tulane University, and received his Medical Degree from the University of Miami. In 1971, he completed a surgical residency at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, including a year of specialized training in shock trauma at the same facility.  After his residency, Dr. Graham served as a Major in the Air Force, stationed in Turkey and North Dakota.

Dr. Graham, vice-chairman of the South Miami Hospital Board of Governors, has served in a number of capacities in the hospital, including Chief of Staff, Chief of Surgery, Member of the Medical Executive Committee, Chairman of the Trauma Committee and Chairman of the Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory.

Dr. Graham is a Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery and a founding member of the American Hernia Society.  He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, and the International College of Surgeons. He has co-authored 16 articles and textbook chapters on hernia repair. He has performed live televised hernia operations for the American College of Surgeons meetings, as well as broadcasts to Europe, South America, and Asia. Since joining the Hernia Institute in 1993,  he has limited his practice to hernia surgery, and has performed more than 9000 hernia procedures.
